NORTH WILKESBORO, NC — Window World, Inc.®, America’s largest replacement window and home remodeling company, has announced its ‘Fall into Winter Tour.’ During the tour, Window World will be traveling around the United States with ‘The Stinger,’ a concept Indy show car that was created to fundraise for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®. It begins November 6 in Colorado Springs, Colo. and closes December 8 at the International Motorsports Industry Show in Indianapolis.

The Stinger was developed by John Andretti, Andretti Autosport and Window World. It was unveiled at the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500 in May 2011 and is designed to be a tribute to the first winning Indy 500 car, the 1911 Marmon Wasp. The mission of The Stinger is to obtain the signatures of former Indy 500 starters. For each signature received, Window World makes a donation to Window World Cares™, the charitable foundation of Window World, to support St. Jude. To date, the signatures of more than 210 former Indy 500 starters are showcased on The Stinger.

Throughout the tour, The Stinger will visit nine cities in six states and will receive 11 new signatures. The former Indy 500 starters who will be signing The Stinger include: Phil Threshie; Bill Whittington; Dean Hall; Richie Hearn; John Paul, Jr.; Tom Gloy; Kevin Cogan; Sir Jackie Stewart; Alessandro Zampedri; Bruno Junqueira; Ludwig Heimrath, Jr.

Since its inception in 2008, Window World Cares has donated more than $2.5 million to St. Jude and was named New Corporate Partner of the Year in 2010. In addition, Window World Cares also supports the Veterans Airlift Command (VAC), which provides free transportation to injured soldiers, veterans and their families.
