MEMPHIS, TN — Window World, Inc.®, America’s largest replacement window and home remodeling company, will be the national presenting sponsor of the St. Jude Presents John Rich & Friends concert taking place June 5 at the Cannon Center in downtown Memphis, Tenn. The concert will celebrate the 50th anniversary of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and all proceeds from the event will benefit the organization. Window World’s sponsorship of the show is a part of its ‘One More Day’ initiative, the goal of which is to raise a full day of operating expenses for St. Jude. The campaign is headed by Window World Cares™, the charitable foundation for Window World.

Since its inception in 2008, Window World Cares has donated more than $2.3 million to the hospital, already donating one full day of operating costs, equivalent to $1.7 million, to St. Jude and continues to raise funds to be put toward a second day. The ‘One More Day’ project aims to complete the second day of funding. It is being executed on a national level and includes all 200+ stores that make up the Window World family. The initiative was developed by Tammy Whitworth, chairman and CEO of Window World and co-founder of Window World Cares.

“Window World’s sponsorship of the John Rich & Friends concert is just one more way we’re able to help such a great organization,” said Whitworth. “St. Jude provides children with excellent care while ensuring that no family ever receives a bill from the hospital. The entire Window World family is privileged to help continue to make this possible.”

Additionally, Window World will be bringing ‘The Stinger,’ a 2011 concept Indy show car and tribute to the first winning Indianapolis 500 car, the 1911 Marmon Wasp, to Memphis the day of the concert to be on display in front of St. Jude. The Stinger was developed by John Andretti, Andretti Autosport and Window World and was unveiled at the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 in May 2011.

The Stinger currently showcases the signatures of 202 former Indy 500 starters. For each signature received, Window World makes a donation to Window World Cares to help support causes such as St. Jude and Veterans Airlift Command (VAC).

Robby Unser, two-time Indianapolis 500 starter, will be signing The Stinger while it is in Memphis. He is the last of the Unser family drivers to sign the vehicle; Al, Al Jr., Bobby and Johnny Unser’s names are already among the 200+ signatures present on The Stinger.

“I am truly honored to be a part of this,” Unser said. “John Andretti and I have been friends for a long time and I appreciate everything that he and Window World do for St. Jude and the VAC. The Stinger is just another example of Window World’s dedication to those organizations.”

Window World Cares’ relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital began in 2008. Since then, more than $2.3 million has been donated to the hospital. In 2010, Window World Cares was named New Corporate Partner of the Year because of its ongoing involvement with St. Jude.

The John Rich and Friends concert is a part of the 50th anniversary celebration for St. Jude and kicks off the week-long festivities of the FedEx St. Jude Classic. The concert will feature a number of well-known performers, including country music stars Big and Rich, Darius Rucker and Kellie Pickler. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy is also slated to appear.
